The Milken Institute, a California-based independent economic research think tank, has released a report on the Best Performing Cities of 2017, which ranks the Northport/Sarasota/Bradenton area #6 in the country, and #1 in the state of Florida. According to their website, this ranking is based off the institute’s Best-Performing Cities (BPC) Index, which “measures metropolitan areas’ economic performance using outcomes-based metrics such as job creation, wage gains, and technology developments to evaluate the areas’ relative growth”. The institute ranked Sarasota #26 in the country during its 2016 report, indicating that Sarasota saw significant growth in the areas measured by Milken’s BPC Index during 2017. What this means is that Sarasota is currently experiencing great economic conditions, which fuels the creation of jobs and commerce. There’s never been a better time to invest in a new office or storefront here in Sarasota!
